Genes are not the blueprint for life

A comment on the video "Genes are not the blueprint for life" (Denis Noble):

As a matter of fact every cell that constitutes the human body has the same DNA but depending on the type of cell and its location in the body different genes are expressed. To my knowledge it is still absolutely unknown what exactly determines which genes are expressed in a particular tissue. All we know is that there are some chemicals that act as transcription factors but we have no idea why exactly these transcription factors act in particular tissue and do not act in other tissue.

This is a problem which will require human intelligence to be solved.
